Suspension Secrets Performance Strut Tower Protection Package - Porsche 981 / 718 Cayman GT4

Front strut tower failure is a known issue on hard-driven Porsche GT4 models, particularly on cars used for track days and motorsport. When lowering the GT4, bump travel is significantly reduced in the OEM front dampers. This can cause the dampers to bottom out over large compressions or kerbs, sending large shock loading forces directly through the damper piston into the top mount assembly. This can result in deformation, cracking or costly chassis damage.

This Suspension Secrets package combines our front camber caster plate top mounts with our uprated spring cups that allow you to lower the car and keep enough bump travel in the OEM damper to prevent this bottoming out effect. By improving the damper travel at the lower ride height, this package helps protect the front strut towers from damage while also improving suspension geometry, steering feel and front-end grip; making it an upgrade as well as providing protection and preventing damage from occurring. 

Please note that this solution only works as a package. The spring cups must be paired with the Suspension Secrets top mounts in this kit for the solution to work. 

This solution fully prevents the failure from occurring by removing the root cause of the problem as opposed to enhancing the strut tower strength to take the loads from the damper bottoming out.
