Car Geometry Explained… Simple, No Bullsh*t

Car Geometry Explained… Simple, No Bullsh*t

What is geometry?

Geometry is how your wheels sit and move… That’s it.

It controls handling, stability and tyre wear

Camber

Angle of the wheel (front view)

Negative camber:

  • Better cornering
  • Too much = tyre wear

Toe

Direction wheels point

Most important for:

  • Stability
  • Tyre life

Wrong toe = tyres destroyed quickly.

Caster

Steering angle

Affects:

  • Steering feel
  • Stability
  • Return to centre

Why it matters

Bad setup:

  • Car feels unstable
  • Steering feels off
  • Tyres wear unevenly

Good setup:

  • Predictable handling
  • Better grip
  • Confidence driving

The truth

Parts don’t make a car drive properly.

Setup does.

If your car doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t set up right.
